Trail Riding

4WD driving Bush campers are allowed to use their 4WD vehicles on the old logging tracks at the back of the property and also on the specially made more difficult tracks to make a challenge worth tackling by members of 4WD driving clubs.  The tracks go from very easy to ‘oh my God!’ and everything in between.  The charge for 4WD driving is $20 per vehicle per day.

Motorcycling Those with dirt bikes or ag bikes are also welcome to drive on the tracks at the back of the property.  Several years ago the Australian Motocross Enduro Race was held through here and there are many challenging places in which to ride.  The charge for bike riding is $20 per vehicle per day, but only half price for children on small bikes (peewees).  There are some excellent places in which children can start to learn to ride, plenty of variety, without being at all dangerous.

Horse Riding Horse riding is normally only available for those staying at the homestead.  We have eleven horses from small 13hh to large 16.2hh – some are suitable for experienced riders only.  However, it is sometimes possible by appointment for other people to ride – the charge is $30 per hour.   All riders have to wear hard hats and must be accompanied at all times by a member of the family.    Horses belonging to bush campers are also welcome.

Mustering is done on horseback or Ag bikes and there are eleven horses on the property.  The horses are mainly used in conjunction with Visitoz for introducing foreign backpackers to Australian agricultural techniques.
