Springbrook Host Farm

Burnett Highway, Goomeri, 4601, Queensland, Australia.

Springbrook is a two thousand five hundred acre cattle property comprising open grazing land and blue gum ridges.  The family run Droughtmaster Cattle.   Fodder crops are grown and made into hay and silage for winter feed.  There are two olive groves and Spring Gully Olives is a vertically integrated enterprise from growing and processing through to the point of sale.

The homestead affords comfortable accommodation in one double and one twin room.  There is also a ‘sleepout’ (closed in verandah room) capable of sleeping four people in bunk beds.  There is an 11 metre saltwater swimming pool in front of the house with a large lawn area which can be used for croquet, boule and other ball games.

Springbrook Host Farm offers half board, or bed and breakfast, with the opportunity to relax or to take part in farm activities or to explore the property seeing the wildlife and the countryside around.

The new homestead, Anne’s House, has accommodation in a double room with ensuite facilities and is available either as B & b or half board.

Locally there are vineyards, old homesteads and museums to visit, dams for boating and fishing, and a host of other activities for the energetic. Those who would like a gentler can put their feet up and do not very much at all. The homestead boasts a comprehensive library including books in languages other than English.

One of the local residents came to watch the house one day.
