Biographical Information

Dan and Joanna Burnet came to Australia from Scotland in 1991 where they had been running a busy Host Farm at Portinnisherrich on Loch Aweside in Argyll.  Prior to that Dan had had a full career as a British Army Officer and has served in Cyprus, Kenya, Kuwait, the USA, Germany and Sweden as well as many times in the UK.  Joanna worked in travel and tourism in various parts of Europe.  They founded Visitoz in early 1992 and young people come from all over the world to take part in the training activities for work on Outback cattle stations and farms.  The Burnets are also concentrating on the olive groves, the farm and their community interests.  Both became Australian citizens in 1994 and JPs two years later.
